Hello, there! Today's blog is the story of the song "I Can't Count My Blessings."
We've known Pastor Dave Rex for many years. We are not sure how many years, but, he's seen us go through some changes! We first met him at the Boone Gospel sing that was put on by Betty and Harold Holmes. They were so amazing and helped to support us from the very beginning. Dee has always said that she wants to be like them when she grows up. ANYWAY, Pastor Dave would usually come to the Boone sing and he heard us sing there. He then invited us to come and sing at his Cowboy Church, the Bar None Cowboy Church in Newton, Iowa.
We normally sing there in February, which in itself is a reason for prayer, but God is faithful, and so far we have made it without mishap, praise the LORD! Last year while we were there, the Pastor said "I can't count my blessings, because I can't count that high!" That was the birth of the song. Dee started mentally composing and when she got home finished the song, and set it to the Pastor with her thanks. He's still waiting on royalties! :) This song blesses us, and will be on our upcoming project, available on CD and online. Thank you, Pastor Dave! God bless your ministry!
We hope to have you back soon for more posts and until then thank you for your visit! God bless you!
Send us a message, and we will reply as soon as possible
